Clodagh, Co Cork

A couple of weeks ago I was heading from Castledonovan towards Dunmanway and thought I'd have a look at the Clodagh stone circle. It wasn't hard to find as the tops of the stones are visible from the main road.

This circle isn't in the best condition. Several stones have fallen over, and the centre has been somewhat filled in. It is unusual as it doesn't have an entrance opposite the axial stone. There is also a stone row just to the southwest of the circle.

A few hundred yards down the hill to the northeast and not far from the main road junction are another couple of standing stones underneath some spruce trees. The taller of the pair is about 150cm high.
