Gurranes, Co Cork

On a ridge above the church at Gurranes stand these three tall megaliths known as the Three Fingers.

The tallest stone to the right leans heavily towards the East and is 4.3m in height.

Originally there were five standing stones here. Now one lies on it's side, whilst the fifth stone was removed to an estate in nearby Castletownsend.

The stones are roughly in line on an ESE/WSW axis.

Not far to the south, and worth a visit if time allows lies the old fort at Knockdrum.
